About the Role

Sandhill Fields is seeking a dedicated Sports Facility Maintenance Technician to ensure our athletic fields and facilities remain in top condition for athletes, teams, and community members. This role is responsible for groundskeeping, facility upkeep, event preparation, and customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about maintaining a high-quality sports environment.

Requirements

  • Grounds Maintenance:

    • Mowing, trimming, and spraying fields. 

    • Removing debris and trash. 

    • Maintaining and repairing athletic fields 

    • Painting lines for practices and games

  • Facility Maintenance:

    • Maintaining the structural and aesthetic integrity of the facility. 

    • Performing general maintenance tasks (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry). 

    • Ensuring the facility is clean and safe. 

  • Event Preparation:

    • Preparing athletic fields for sporting events and rentals (e.g., field lining, equipment setup). 

    • Assisting with game day operations. 

    • Setting up for practices and games. 

  • Customer Service:

    • Providing information and directions to facility users. 

    • Enforcing rules and regulations. 

  • Other Duties:

    • Assisting with new projects (e.g., constructing walks, trails, bridges). 

    • Supervising staff (if applicable). 

    • Assisting with purchasing materials and equipment. 

    • Working with other departments as needed.
